GRANGEMOUTH STAGS 2ND XV 5- 52 STIRLING COUNTY 3RD XV
After Dalkeith firsts called of on the Friday evening from league duty, Stirling County 3s stepped in to offer a young Stags side a tough but enjoyable game.
County had most of possession in the first half scoring 5 unanswered tries playing some good hard rugby. The task became even harder for the home side when the stags captain Tom Chapman retired injured.
In the second half County continued to dominate thought their heavier and more experience pack which linked well with their backs to run in a further 3 tries.
The young Stags heads never went down and they went on to win the last 10 mins of the game, running in a try of their own, set up by Calum Love, Robert Holdsworth and finished by Stuart Allen.
The stags return to league rugby next week away to Ross High, with the 2nds hoping to continue their 100% start to the season.
